There's nothing to prepare, nothing to know, nothing to believe. If you can breathe, you can do this.
Most people who come to us aren't. Our monks teach meditation as a human practice, a way of steadying the mind, not as a religion. You are welcome here exactly as you are.
Chairs, cushions, benches, standing, lying down, all of it is meditation. The posture matters less than the gentle attention. If your knees hurt, sit in a chair. Really.
Meditation isn't about stopping thoughts. It's about noticing, gently, when you've drifted, and returning. Every return is the practice. You will do this a thousand times in an hour. That's how it works.
Not twenty. Not an hour. Five. Every morning for a week. That's the beginning. You'll know when you want more. Come to one of our beginner sessions and we'll show you.
A warm, quiet two-hour session designed for first-timers. We'll cover posture, breath, what to do with your mind, and send you home with a simple practice.
